Garuda

Garuda's mythology reflects transformation and devotion. Born to Vinata and Kashyapa, he initially faced oppression by his serpent half-brothers. To secure his mother's freedom, Garuda undertook the impossible task of retrieving Amrita (nectar of immortality) from the gods. His heroic journey—defeating celestial guardians and overcoming obstacles—demonstrates exceptional courage and determination. Upon succeeding, he earned immortality and divine status, becoming Vishnu's chosen vehicle. This narrative illustrates that true nobility comes through service and overcoming challenges, not through privilege. Garuda's hatred of serpents stems from his brother's mistreatment. Unlike other celestial creatures, Garuda commands independent reverence—temples dedicated solely to him exist. His symbol represents liberation, transcendence, and the victory of good over evil.
